I changed the name and look of this Blog! And see that picture up there? That is my front porch! I love that space. There is a rocking chair out there that just calls my name! Early mornings with my coffee, late evenings spent rocking in the fading light. It’s so relaxing. I’d be out there right now if the damned dog hadn’t jumped over the coffee table, wiping out my lap top a few weeks ago! That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!
$400. dog
+ 400. laptop
= expensive lesson on the Sheltie breed! They will jump anything!

Why is this room the catch all room?
How does this stuff find its way in here? It’s the laundry room/mud room/office! Isn’t that is enough for a little 12’ x 10′ room!
Why is there a stack of kid’s books on the floor? Why is there a commercial sized half pan, a VCR and a fan in a laundry basket seating there in front of the basement door?
Why do my dogs think it is safe to sit under my desk? They know damned well this chair is on wheels and that I jump up and down 100 times a day!
How does my family think I can get anything serious done in here when they throw their dirty boy underwear on the floor in front of the washer?
Why are the paint cans, for every other room, all stacked in here?
Why is there a perfectly good cupboard sitting there empty?
And last but not least, why do I feel like I’m sitting on the floor in this chair? Oh yeah… Dylan used my computer last night!
Hmmm, there are only 5 pills left in my pack. I can feel a bitchy cleaning jag coming on!

I’m converting my flower beds to rock gardens this year. I think it’s time we did some more ‘yard scaping.’ Not sure the old man is going to happy with all the work it’s going to take to do what I want but the results will be cool! I’m gonna follow our progress here. See the beds behind my guys? Gonna start there. Hope ya all enjoy it as much as I will.

My Sister in Law Shellie and I Had A GREAT Time Yesterday! We left my house at 5 a.m. with Wyatt in tow and let me tell ya ladies, we didn’t get home until 7:30 - 8 o’clock last night. I knew Wyatt was a good baby but it was an honest to God joy to have that little man along! I’ve never seen a happier 1 year old kid in my life!
We got to Wanuakee right at 7 a.m. and went right to it! Lol! We didn’t keep track but I’d bet we hit over 50 yard sales. I think we could have refurnished both of our houses with better stuff than we have now for less than $500 a piece!! And if someone was having a baby we could have bought them everything they’d need until the kid was 2 for under $300. I’ve never seen so much baby stuff or toys at city wide garage sales, ever!
I didn’t spend as much as I normally do but we both got some awesome deals! I think I got the deal of the day though with my $3 head board! I can’t wait to get it attached to my bed!! Here’s a list of the stuff I got…
For Donnie and I:
· Head board for my bed $3.
· Under keyboard try, new in the box $3
· Blue jean purse $1
· Cloth lined wicker basket for my crocheting $3
· 2 wooden stars with pegs $2
· Osculating fan $2
· Like new Nike’s for Donnie $5
· 2 Burgundy throw pillows for my couch $2.
· 2 woven lawn chairs, one is a rocker $4
· 2 Hasta plants $2
· 2 Candle Lite candles 50 cents
· Nuts, the Beanie Baby squirrel $2 (the one who has ridden with me on my dash for the last 6 or 7 years is getting pretty sun faded! Lol!)
For Nikki:
· Acoustic guitar $10
· Brand new green corduroy purse $1 (Nikki is NUTS about green corduroy!)
For Dylan:
· Scooter (awesome shape) $10
· OO7 PS2 game $10
· Cabela’s Big Game Hunting PS2 game $5
· 2 pairs of brand new Chap’s jeans $4
For Trent and Evan:
· Mater and Lightening McQueen zip cord cars $1.50
· Sit and Spin $2
I think that was it for me, but Shellie got some great stuff too, including a $2 dresser! I don’t know where else ya can go and giggle and laugh and have 15 hours of fun for $73! I can’t wait for next year!
